Gakuran Controls
Gakuran plays on PC, mobile and controller. Exact keybinds can change between updates, so treat the in-game control menu as the source of truth — what matters more is knowing which actions you need and drilling them until they’re muscle memory.
Supported platforms
You can play on PC (mouse + keyboard), mobile (touch) and with a controller / Xbox. The action set is the same everywhere; only the inputs differ.
The actions you need
However your device maps them, these are the things you must be able to do on demand:
- Light attack — your basic punch string
- Heavy / slam — the string-breaker that opens defenders
- Weave / dodge — slip an incoming attack
- Block / guard — hold defence (but don’t turtle forever)
- Sprint / dash — close or create space
- Interact — talk, use objects, and trigger roleplay/minigame prompts
PC tips
Keep your hand resting over your dash and weave keys, not buried on attack. Most losses at low level come from being unable to defend quickly, not from weak offence.
If anything feels awkward, rebind it. Comfortable, reachable keys beat “correct” ones every time.
Mobile tips
On touch you fight with on-screen buttons. Give yourself the best chance by playing in landscape, turning off anything that competes for thumb space, and using a claw grip if you can — being able to move and attack at once is a real advantage.
Mobile players can absolutely compete here; clean defensive timing matters more than raw input speed.
Controller / Xbox tips
Controller is comfortable for movement and weaving thanks to the stick. Spend a minute in a quiet server learning where slam and dash sit on your pad before you take a real fight.
Make it yours
There is no single “pro” layout. The best binding is the one that lets you weave and dash without thinking. Set it up once, then stop fiddling and start drilling.
